Compton Valance Bits and Bobs
A few years ago, I wrote a funny series for kids all about a boy who accidentally creates a time machine out of a sandwich. Here are some videos and links of chapter readings and ideas for fun things to do. I hope you like them.
Firstly, here’s a video of the very first chapter from the very first Compton Valance book, The Most Powerful Boy in the Universe.
Then there’s this tongue-twister challenge based on the chapter in Compton Valance: the Most Powerful Boy in the Universe, called THE STINK THAT STUNK STINKIER THAN THE STINKIEST STINK HAD EVER STUNK. Have a go. Can you beat the world record?
Or, here’s the trailer that was made for the first Compton Valance book. It’s fun and gross and a bit like watching a cartoon.
One question that I get asked a lot on school visits is where do you get your ideas from? So, I thought I’d write down some of the things that influenced the Compton Valance stories HERE
Or, if you’d like to check out some reader reviews, or press reviews, or have a look at some additional resourses that were put together by Chatterbooks then just go HERE
Don’t forget that if you want to buy any of my books you can find them in all the usual books places including from the army of Independent Usborne Booksellers. Find your nearest one HERE
There are four books in the series:
The Most Powerful Boy in the Universe
The Time-Travelling Sandwich Bites Back
Super F.A.R.T.s Versus the Master of Time
The Revenge of the Fancy-Pants Time Pirate
The first two books are a continuing story so it is best to read them in that order.
I really hope you find all this helpful and they help enhance your enjoyment of the books even more.
